sijils
Across time, cultures and geography, humans create art as visual shorthand, encoding information to the like-minded. “Sijils” are a quest to combine iconography, from Celtic knotwork to runic talismans and computer symbols, to meld code and aesthetics – my alchemy. I have been into signs and symbols for decades, with spreadsheets aplenty. Meditation, covert communication, magic, ritual, a message for the future, interpretation may vary, but the inherent need to find pattern and meaning remains.
